Going into 2022, I decided I wanted to manifest more adventurous and creative session. This shoot certainly checked both of those boxes!

Ali and Elliott were such a joy to work with. They traveled all the way from Iowa to have their dream maternity pictures taken on the beaches of Malibu + at one of the most epic airbnb’s on the West Coast. (Fun Fact: I grew up in Malibu, so visiting is always such a special treat filled with so much nostalgia!)

We started the session on Leo Carillio State Beach and then made our way up into the mountains to shoot at an airstream for golden hour. Talk about one of the craziest drives of my life! The directions to the airstream took us up a one way, very narrow, steep dirt road that scaled the edges of this (seemingly very unstable) cliffside. Long story short, we got a rental car stuck, had no cell service, and we were losing daylight. Thankfully, some amazing strangers (whose car also got stuck on the sketchy dirt road) were able to dig us out with just enough daylight to shoot.
